"Magic" Shortcuts

Progress. Success. Transformation.

The movies I love always make it seem like progress is something that happens in quantum leaps. Like success is something that happens overnight, in some magic flash.

I'm not saying that doesn't happen - but in my experience the real transformation happens in increments, sometimes breath by breath.

Real change happens moment by moment as you make different decisions and respond differently in familiar situations.

How is change created by making different decisions? Different decisions and outcomes teach your nervous system new states of safety, and build new neural connections in your mind.

This is where the real change occurs.

Picture for a moment, the quintessential quantum leap - winning the lottery.

How many lottery winners end up broke again (hint: it's most of them). Why? Because your external circumstances are not as important as what's happening in your nervous system and mind.

It has more to do with your day to day experience than some magic wand paradigm shift.

This is another way of saying that a lot of the so-called shortcuts that people are selling you aren't real.

There are shortcuts - but I'm going to save those for another article.

Rather than drag this post out, I'm going to post a few articles over the next few days.

Because I'm not kidding when I tell you I have a lot to share. And one of those things is the "magic" shortcut I mentioned. I promise I'll get to that.

There's also:

  • A summit I'm a part of.
  • Big changes to my coaching container.
  • Podcast updates.
  • Milestones to celebrate.
  • Updates on breathwork.
  • And that magic shortcut.

That's just to begin with.

Until tomorrow,

Jonathan

Jonathan Schecter

Jonathan's interest in the transformative power of the breath is driven by his own healing journey. After practicing meditation and mindfulness in the Zen and Tibetan Buddhist traditions for almost 20 years, he rediscovered breathwork during a dark night of the soul and was amazed at the impact the practice had on his life.

After exploring several types of breathwork and working to create his own system, he found Neurodynamic Breathwork and completed an extensive facilitator-training program that was equal parts breathwork, deep personal development, and training in how to hold space for expanded states of awareness and support others through authentic presence.

This training, combined with lessons learned integrating his own extensive experiences with plant medicine helped Jonathan launch his brand “Blue Magic Alchemy ” that provides 1:1 integration and transformation coaching, a podcast, breathwork and meditation circles, and information to support grounded exploration into altered states of consciousness.
